Milwaukee

I'm in Milwaukee for business. This is the first time I've been anywhere in Wisconsin except for my freshman year in college when my pledge class went to Madison on walk-out.

So far, it's been cold, rainy and wet. Not a happy combination from someone who's only lived in California, Texas and Florida in the last 10 years.

However, the weather's supposed to get much better. I'm looking forward to it.

Milwaukee itself is a beautiful city. Very historic with large buildings built 150 years ago. It's amazing.

The work office is small and just getting established, but cozy. I look forward to two weeks here. And hopefully catching up with a few of the friends I used to know who now live here.

Could you see yourself living there? Would it be hard for Carla to move there, since it would be really different from what she is used to?

Ainsley is a 3rd-Degree Black Belt!!!

After six and a half years, Ainsley has earned her 3rd-Degree blackbelt. The following is a video of the several hours of testing that she went through. Ainsley worked hard for this achievement, not just the past two months, but the several years leading up to it. We're very proud of her. And just for fun, here's a picture of Ainsley when she got her orange belt - about 6 months after starting taekwondo.
Ainsley had a GREAT summer this year - filled with many different summer camps. She went to: Adventure Camp Messy Art Camp Doctor Camp Drama Camp School Camp Farm Camp Pottery Camp I am proud to share several videos from Drama Camp. These are from the final performance that took them 3 weeks to learn - the singing, the choreography, the lines - it was exhaustive. Calli and Bluebell

Friday we brought home our new puppy. What a joyous sleepless time it's been. Our cat Calli Mari is finally getting used to having her around. She spent the first two days under the bed. Now she ventures out but is still a little wary, as shown in this picture. I'm hoping to get more pictures available soon. We've been taking a lot, but they're a lot to sift through. Puppies don't stand still for long.
