Who knew GoDaddy pays attention to the little guy.
After my (public) grumbling a few weeks ago I got a call from a Go Daddy representative. First to warn me I wasn't allowed to block their ads (oops.)
Second to let me find an alternative to their ad-sponsored free site. Since I don't get a lot of traffic, nor use anything but Blogger, it was very nice of them to offer to set me up using Blogger's hosting services. He walked me through the very complicated domain set up on their end. Sadly, Blogger tries to walk you through it but I was very confused by the end.
If you didn't notice, for about two weeks robandcarla.net was down, however. Blogger wouldn't let me publish to anything but robandcarla.blogspot.com. I had to wade through a ton of online help files (mostly this site, very good resource if you can figure out where to start: here) to find the one setting that was messing everything up. Comment here if you want to know exactly what I ended up doing.
But we're back! And I have to say that in this day and age, GoDaddy still impresses me. Yes, I was probably a little more irked than I needed to be but the personal attention to a small-time "blogger" like myself -- and let's face it, the only people who read this is family and friends -- was pretty nice. The amount of time he spent on the phone with me... well, let's just say I'd get pretty frustrated if it were me talking to one of my customers. So thank you GoDaddyGuy (really, that's his moniker.)

By the way, I'm curious to know what you had to change to get it finalized. It would help me help others in the future.
