Christmas Cookies

Ainsley decided that cookies and milk for Santa would be best if set up on her table in the playroom.

Ainsley & Santa 2013

We've tried visiting Santa in years past but it never worked out - mostly due to the screaming, crying and a refusal to let go of me. This year was MUCH more successful - she didn't want to sit on his lap or next to him on the chair but we were able to get her to stand next to Santa and smile! (The smile happened after she stuck out her tongue and Rob pushed it back in.)

Easter Cuteness!

Easter Egg Hunt

Ainsley found some Easter eggs today!

Babies in Trees

Rob took the puppy out for a walk this afternoon and he was passing this tree in our backyard: He found this in the tree: When he looked closer, he discovered that it looks like this: So, in a couple of weeks, there will be babies in the tree! Happy Mother's Day!

Giraffe

Sunday was Mother's Day. And Mom visited. We went to Busch Gardens and took one of their safari tours. We were loaded on a big open bed on the back of a truck and driven through the animal park. It was truly an experience. A little too much time was spent with the giraffes, but I guess that's because the rhinos are too dangerous - or endangered. Anyway, we were able to feed the giraffe a lot. And the giraffe loved it. Four words of caution though: Giraffes drool - a lot!

Christmas in Apopka

The weekend after we got back from Ohio, Rob and I went to Apopka, Florida to have Christmas with my mom. She had already cooked once for the holiday so I took over the making of dinner. She says it was very delicious! After dinner, we opened presents and had lots of fun. I've uploaded the pictures we took that evening.

Christmas Pictures!!!

I've had a wonderful Christmas so far. After a couple weeks of travel, I'm finally home and officially on holiday. Thought I'd catch up on my email and go through all the pictures I took. I've added three web albums to the links on the right: This year's San Francisco trip. ( link ) Christmas in Ohio at my brother's new house. Merry Christmas!!!

Happy Halloween

Halloween was too much of a success. We ran out of candy. I didn't realize there were that many kids in this neighborhood. Word got around we had Play-Doh - it was supposed to be for the little ones. They went fast, the candy went fast. We took a walk afterward in our custumes and met some of the neighbors. We were home by 8.
