Ainsely decided to spin and spin one day. She did it for several minutes. I luckily caught about 20 seconds of it. I never did get a good explanation as to why. :)
From Miss Jill: "Ainsley has been working on sandpaper letters (she has mastered S and M so we have moved on to B and T) We are also starting sandpaper numbers. She was very excited to get a lesson on washing the plant. She even showed another child the lesson!"
I went to the Salvation Army last weekend and was fascinated by a small "book table" that I saw. I walked around the store for a while but couldn't take my mind off it. So, I picked it up! Here are the before and after pictures.
From the teacher: "This week Ainsley worked on stacking (balance, cause and effect and planning) and we started working on using scissors (eye hand coordination and concentration) She continues to be very welcoming and gentle with new children in our room. She will talk softly to someone crying and try and get a new child to join her in work or looking at books."
As part of our closing agreement, our home got a new "mound" system (septic). At first it was an eyesore, and much bigger than expected. But it's growing grass now and looking a lot better. I'm excited for when I can start to mow it. Should be akin to down-hill skiing.
